Multi-Channel T&M System
Multiple channel system is extreamly important in a lot of modern engineering applications. I will greatly improve productivity and reduce cost.
There are two major types of multi-channel systems
Multiplexer/Matrix switching multi-channel systems
It uses Single measurement unit, leaverage on the channel expansion capability of MUX and Matrix cards to extend the measurement to other channel groups, by using this kind of system will greatly reduce the system cost compare to per-channel configuration.
Parallel multi-channel systems
Contrary to above mentioned swithcing based system, the parallel system is assign each channel to dedicated measurement unit, as well as highly sychonized trigger line and data line, although it will lead into more initiale cost, but since every channel is running at the same time, it will save tons of testing time and save in operation. This kind of system is usually used in applications which need tight sychronization like 3D sensing, Lidar or each test takes a lot time like reliability testing.
